R&D / Technology - Awards/Prizes
The Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII) organizes the National Commendation for Invention, through which it commends inventions that contribute to the progress of science and technology and the development of industry. Through this commendation system, the Mitsubishi Electric Group won an Imperial Invention Prize for its data encoding systems (information security technology) in fiscal 2004 and a 21st Century Invention Prize for its ozone generation technology in fiscal 2006. The following table shows the recent JIII prizes that Mitsubishi Electric Group has received for inventions that were highly acclaimed by third parties.
